We would like to introduce you - either as a member, a prospective member or a part of the community of Tarrant County - to the Tarrant County Bar Association. Please review each section for complete information. The elected officers and directors volunteer their time to maintain the Association's benefits and community service. The Tarrant County Bar Association has a full-time staff that is available to answer questions about the Tarrant County Bar Association, TCBA membership and services.


However, for the community, there is NO licensed attorney on staff, and legal advice cannot be secured by contacting the Tarrant County Bar Association's office. The Tarrant County Bar Association has a Lawyer Referral Service (817-336-4101) and twice-a-month LegalLine (817-335-1239) if you are in need of legal advice. Thank you for visiting our website.

Events, Headlines & Socials

      The Tarrant County Bar Association has numerous events & socials throughout the each year.  Examples are:

Court Staff Appreciation - Plans an event in appreciation of all court personnel.
Docket Call Socials - Coordinates socials, including seeking sponsors and securing locations.
Holiday Party - Plans and decorates for the annual Holiday Party.
Law Day Awards Dinner - Plans the annual awards dinner and coordinates with subcommittees.

      With this new website design, visitors will be able to access Headlines & Events several ways--under Home, Calendar, by date, and under Events, in the right pane,  by detail descriptions of some of the upcoming activities.   Not all activities are listed under Events, so please check the calendar.  We are even on the Facebook feed directly from the front page! No more searching for information.  The website is now interactive, and you can make your reservations by clicking the button on either the Upcoming Events or on the calendar.   It's all available with a simple mouse click!

Committees

The Tarrant County Bar Association has over 40 programs and committees that address the needs of lawyers in Tarrant County. Additionally, it has a number of programs that provide attorneys in the county opportunities to help the local community in general. These programs have won recognition and awards from the State Bar of Texas and community organizations time and time again.


The committees depend upon the active participation of the members of the Tarrant County Bar to be successful. Serving on a committee not only helps to keep Bar activities meaningful, but offers a great way to network with other attorneys in the area, and provides an opportunity for Tarrant County lawyers to become involved in their profession and community.

The Tarrant County Bar Foundation is a charitable organization formed under the auspices of the Tarrant County Bar Association. The Tarrant County Bar Foundation was established in 1997 to support and expand its commitments to "justice, service, and professionalism" by funding important community service projects. These projects include crucial legal services to needy citizens and education of the public about their rights and responsibilities under the law.

The Tarrant County Bar Foundation has been granted a tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The voluntary, tax-deductible contributions by its members support the Foundation and its programs.

For The Public

Need a Lawyer?

Do you need an attorney?   The TCBA offers a Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS).  You can complete the information on the form if you click the “Need a Lawyer” button at the top of this website, OR you can telephone 817-336-4101 from 8:30 to 4:30, weekdays.    A licensed attorney, in good standing with the State Bar and who is listed to offer service in the area of law you are needing, will be given to you.   Contact us today!!
