All profits from the Chili Cook Off go towards our grant project, The Suitcase Project.
The Suitcase Project provides duffle bags/suitcases for Tarrant County children placed in Temporary Foster Care.
Tarrant County has around 611 children currently in Temporary Foster placements and these children often leave their homes with only the personal items they can carry, often carrying their personal items in trash bags.
We are hoping to include hygiene items as well as an iron-on label with the child's name and identifying information.
Suitcases are $28 each, Duffle bags are $17 each. Hygiene packs cost $10 each and include toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes/combs, hair ties, and deodorant. Younger children's packs will include a small blanket.
